Simulation consists of a “running through” of processes. Models are used to help research operational sequences and relationships found in the real world. Simulations are also used in computer games. Complex driving and flight simulators, developed from the mid-1970s onwards, are particularly popular. The first flight simulators in the world of computer games ran on several computers, the Apple II among them.
One flight simulator can be tried and tested in the HNF’s new exhibition area, completed in 2016. The flight simulator was developed exclusively for training and learning purposes and requires particularly fine flying skills.
